Birth Rectification

Correct and accurate prediction depends on accuracy of the natal horoscope provided to the astrologer. There are three requirements for a horoscope to be casted namely date, time and place of birth. Date and place of birth in most of the cases is correct, but the same could not be said about the time of birth. This is due to various factors. One, in olden days there were no quartz watches, only mechanical watches were available and these watches used to loose or gain time in minutes and sometimes in hours in a day. In villages, the use of watches was minimal. Secondly, at the time of birth, the main concern of the doctors and nurses is for a safe delivery of the child and noting the correct time of birth of the child takes a back seat. Therefore, it is always prudent for an astrologer to verify the horoscope given to him for predictions.
The prime and the most important step for gauging the accuracy of the horoscope is to tally the main events that have already happened in the life of the native after going through DBA (Dasa, Bhukti and Antras) & Transits. If the events tally, the horoscope is correct, if the events do not tally the horoscope requires " Birth Time Rectification ". With a simple cursory look at the horoscope, a astrologer can know whether the time difference is little or more. On the other hand, if the horoscope is not showing the happening of the events, the native is keen to find his correct ascendent, or the astrologer is keen to cast a correct horoscope then the astrologer should apply the theory of ruling planets for " Birth Time Rectification ". This theory gives accurate and precise results.
Ruling Planets There are four ruling planets to be considered at the time of birth rectification. ·Day Lord : Day lord is the lord of the relevant day (i.e. day on which the birth rectification is being attempted) ·Moon Sign Lord : It is the lord of the sign in which Moon is transiting on the relevant day.
Nakshatra Lord : It is the lord of the Nakshatra in which Moon is transiting on the relevant day.
Ascendant Lord : It is the lord of the Ascendant rising at the time when the query for rectification of the birth chart is put to the astrologer.
Correction of a horoscope using the theory of Ruling Planets involves the following steps. I am going to discuss these steps before making use of these steps using a practical example, which was done by me on 12 March 2000.
Step 1
First of all an astrologer should note down the time of the question and take the degrees of the Ascendant. In case a question is send to astrologer via mail or email then astrologer should note the time at which he receives the question. In case Astrologer himself is keen to find the degree of the Ascendant of a horoscope, he or she should note the time at which he or she actually started working upon the horoscope.
Step2
Find the ruling planets at the time the query is made.
Step3
Third step involves casting of the horoscope from the approximate time provided by the native.
Step 4
Take the Table of Sign Lord, Nakshatra Lord & Sub Lord from the annexure provided in this website.
Step 5
Now we have to arrive at the Ascendant, Nakshatra & the Cuspal Sub lord from the ruling planets arrived upon from the "Step 2".
Step 6
This step involves casting of horoscope by taking down the degree of Ascendant arrived at by the use of Step 5.
Illustration
I attempted this correction of horoscope on 12th March 2000 at 5.21 p.m. in Delhi. The time of birth furnished by the native was not clear. I was given a time span of 12.00 hours to 14.00 hours. Taking a time of 12.00 hours the ascendant comes to Aries. The ruling planets on 12th March 2000 shows no presence of Ascendant Lord which in this case is Mars. Hence, the ascendant cannot be Aries. Until around 1 p.m. the ascendant remains to be Aries. After 1 p.m. ascendant changes to Taurus. After this I made a horoscope of 2 p.m.in which ascendant came to be Taurus. The degree of ascendant was 18 degrees and 18 minutes, Taurus and the native was born on 23.01.1965 in Delhi. The ruling planets at 12th March 2000 at 5.21 p.m. were:
Day Lord : Sun
Moon Sign Lord: Venus
Nakshatra Lord: Moon
Ascendant Lord: Sun
We found that out of the ruling planets, sun is the day lord as well as ascendant lord therefore ascendant was supposed to be correct. There are three Nakshatras in the sign, Taurus that of Sun, Moon and Mars. Sun is one of the ruling planets and so is moon. Therefore, the degree of Ascendant lies in the Nakshatra of sun and moon. The first Sub Lord is of Taurus from 0 degrees to 1.13.20 degrees in the Nakshatra of Sun, which is one of the ruling planets, similarly the second sub lord of Taurus, ends at 23.20.00 degrees. Therefore, the degree of Ascendant lies in the sub lord of Taurus, Nakshatra of sun and moon and sign of Venus (Taurus).
Taking the time of 2 p.m. we find that the
Sun 4,9 Mercury 2,5,8 Saturn 9,10
Sun 4,9 Venus 1,6,8 Rahu 1,6,8
Venus 1,6,8 Jupiter 8,9,12 Jupiter 8,9,12
Moon 3,5 Jupiter 8,9,12 Rahu 1,6,8
Mars 5,7,12 Venus 1,6,8 Mars 5,7,12
Jupiter 8, 9,12 Saturn 9,10 Saturn 9,10
Mars 5,7,12 Venus 1,6,8 Ketu 3,5,7
Sun 4,9 Venus 1,6,8 Mercury 2,5,8
Saturn 9,10 Jupiter 8,9,12 Saturn 9,10
The native had a good education. He is a chartered accountant and constantly got very good marks through out his school and college life. Combination for good education is 4,9,11. After going through the above co-ordinates of the planets, we find that the good education houses are missing in this horoscope. The native cleared his C.A. exams in DBA of Rahu-Moon-Jupiter. The co-ordinates of these planets do not support the clearing of the very tough examination of chartered accountancy. Hence the time of 2 P.M. was incorrect. This horoscope still needed to be corrected. I then took a time of 1.05 P.M. and the ascendant in this case was Taurus. Following are the co-ordinates of the planets :

The native cleared his C.A. exams in DBA of Rahu-Moon-Jupiter. We find all the necessary combinations for good education and clearing of written exams viz 4,9,11 and 5,11/6,11. Further, the native got married in the DBA of Jup-Jup-Venus. We find that the DBA is having the combination 2,11 in Dasa and Bhukti and in Antra facilitator houses such as 9, and 12 are signified, moreover Venus is “karak” of marriage and it does not needs the complete combination of the marriage which is 2,7,11. The native went to London in the DBA of Jup-Venus-Saturn.Dasa Lord & Bhukti Lord signifies travel to a developed nation and Saturn essential seperative, to separate from motherland. This DBA is showing the combination of 9,12 in DBA, which is combination of foreign traveling, for foreign traveling 9 and 12 houses are main houses for foreign travel. After going through the horoscope according to time of 1.05 P.M. we find that the events match and hence the horoscope of the native was matched to the exact degrees.
