Anti-scam guide for men

Please, do yourself a big favor and read this whole Antiscam guide, it can save you from a lot of emotional damage and financial problems.
Let's give a definition of scam: SCAM is obtaining money by means of deception. Men scammed by dishonest women stop believing that it is possible to find a good, loving Russian wife, and quit. As men lose their interest in finding a wife through Internet, honest women get less opportunities to find the right guy for marriage.
So the best tool you can use to protect yourself from a scammer is the solid advice of ‘never send money to someone you never met’, and you will save your hard earned funds, and also those things that are even more important than money: your time, emotional energy and peace of mind.
Rule #1
Never send money to a woman listed in any kind of internet dating or matchmaking agency, if she asks for it. Report any suspicious cases related to this rule.
Rule #2
Please be careful, especially the category of young women can be 'dangerous' for you. They can make your head going out of control. Imagine, a 21 years old beautiful young woman, a really knock out, who is in love with a 43 year old western man. If this will ever happen to you, please ask yourself, why this very young woman is attracted to a much older man? After that, ask her the same question and try to evaluate her answers about this fact, and talk with others (e.g. your friends or family) about this, maybe these people, who are close to you, can help you to keep your both feet on the ground. Yous should actually remember that most normal women, who are seriously looking for a husband abroad in general prefer men of their own age, but not someone 20-25 years older.
Rule #3
When starting correspondence, pay attention to some of identifications that might be a sign to become cautious:
she started to write you first
she tells you how nice it would be to live in your beautiful 'country', instead of telling you how nice it would be to live with 'you''.
she starts very soon writing about items like 'I want to visit you' (instead of inviting you to Russia) and that she (already) loves you
she doesn't write, in a comprehensive detailed way, about her personal life and private matters
she gives you hints about money issues (tell you how expensive a visa is, or tickets are and that she can not afford this or that she and her family has not enough money to live from, etc.)
she starts to ask you money for her preparation to visit you and tells you that she can get help from a local (travel) agency, or she tells you she need money for Internet access or whatever.
her letters are very impersonal, except the words she uses to express her love for you, but this is her main 'weapon'.
Rule #4
Nowadays every one who is using online dating as one of progressive ways of communication, also posesses another modern and necesssary device such as mobile phone. So don't believe anyone telling you they don't have a cell phone to be contacted at, or those who say they go to the internet cafe to contact you. Online dating is for those people who have internet access at home and can comfortably communicate to another person on the other side of the globe at any suitable moment. Those who don't use internet usually find other ways to get acquainted.
Rule #5
Do not look for just a photo, look for a compatible partner, so read her profile about what she likes and what her hobbies are and what 'she' is looking for! Always use your common sense and keep both feet on ground.
As a preventive measure it is prudent to avoid discussing or displaying your wealth in your correspondence. Even a Western man’s average income will appear lavish in comparison to the average incomes in Russia and Ukraine. There is no need for you to mention or brag about your salary, savings or material acquisitions. Remember you can’t buy true love and any attempt to impress her with your financial abilities will only serve to attract the wrong kind of lady into your life. Keep it simple and just convey that you have a stable job and can provide for yourself, a wife and a future family.
Now after having read the guidelines, keep in mind the rules and they will be helpful to you. Besides try to be positive, don't think that behind every corner there will be someone waiting for you to get rid of your money.
