The beginning of a new year is always a time for reflection and hope. Looking back to where you have been and looking forward to where you are going. The way a year begins is often the way it ends. As 2006 begins Venus the planet of love and romance is retrograde in the sign of Capricorn. For relationships that are not going so well this provides an opportunity to heal your heart or mend a broken relationship. To do this though, you must look deeply within yourself and come to terms with any attitude problems, bossiness, arrogance or materialism that has possibly poisoned your ability to love unconditionally. You’ll know immediately if you have succeeded and done your soul’s work if by mid February you are in a much better place romantically!
Things don’t usually happen when we want them to. In 2006 the big story in the skies is Saturn & Uranus in an inconjunct aspect, and they continue the cosmic squeeze through the 1st half of 2006. The inconjunct aspect is a difficult aspect. Before you lay a situation that you seemingly can’t get out of easily. On the other hand, when your hands are tied it keeps you perhaps from making big mistakes. Avoid the frustration by accepting that a high authority is at work on your behalf, protecting you until the time is right to let you loose!
With so many planets transiting the fixed signs situations can initially appear to be more insurmountable, or more difficult than they actually are. Lesser souls will crumble. A little elbow grease and determination goes a very long way under these planetary aspects. The key is not to give up, give in, and to keep trying! The rewards that follow these challenging aspects are great!
Aries: (Mar. 20-Apr.19) 2006 may just hold the ultimate love story for you! A fast and furious love affair takes up most of your time this year. Old flames and exes may make it hard for you to break free and escape with your new love. Family and friends won’t be any more understanding either.
It’s the chance of a lifetime to find ultimate happiness with your prince charming. Follow your heart not directions from others!
Taurus: (Apr. 19-May 20) your desires have the perfect year for achievement and realization. This is one year when your stubbornness and bull headedness can pay off. You could end up owning a new home, your own business or land the perfect job. Follow your dreams with the steadfastness of a Bull and by June you will look back and be proud at how far you have come!
Gemini: (May 20-Jun. 21) 2006 for most Gemini’s is a year where you will be more outspoken and listened to. If you have desired a wider audience or just for people to listen to you more, this is your year. Your mind will be sharp and your thoughts accurate. Rarely will you be wrong in 2006. Word of caution, don’t use your wit on your lover use your charm!
Cancer: (Jun. 21-Jul. 22) 2006 is a year when events just seem to work with you. A new brighter future is yours for the taking. A new love interest with the potential for long term commitment is yours. The challenge is that you will haunted by a past love interest. Learning to let go and begin again is not a Cancer strong point! Letting go of a past relationship that hadn’t worked out will be hard. Getting a second chance with true love is not!
Leo: (Jul. 22-Aug. 23) in 2006 challenging aspects will push you to greatness! There will be times when you must get up and go to work when you really don’t want to and that will probably be the day you get a promotion. Making yourself do things when you’d rather not will be rewarded this year. Until you learn the lesson of just getting on with things, as the British would say!
Virgo: (Aug. 23-Sep. 22) 2006 finds falling madly in love with someone Very unique and different than the type of person you usually go for. Is it true love, is it a fatal attraction? It is and will be a dynamic relationship, unavoidable and fascinating. It will shake you out of old ruts and predictable behavior patterns and frankly make you hipper!
Libra: (Sep.22-Oct. 23) Libra is the sign of the general; more generals are born under this sign than any others! So, it may not be easy for you to rely on others or relinquish control to others. During 2006 work together with partners and significant others and you will benefit financially. Some Librans may even find their prince or princesses are sitting on goldmines. Your focus will be on getting your finances together and padding your mattress! Stick to it and it will happen!
Scorpio: (Oct. 23-Nov.22) 2006 your choices romantically are numerous. Many will not be able to resist your charms or that famous Scorpio magnetism! Play the field and don’t jump into commitment so fast. Learn everything there is to know about potential romantic partners before committing. If not there is a chance of a wicked surprise later in the year!
Sagittarius: (Nov.22-Dec. 21) Sagittarius dances to the beat of a different drum. 2006 is no exception. While all the other zodiac signs work hard and plod away this year, you may decide to weather the storm in quieter pastures. A decision to follow your dreams may take you to distant lands, foreign countries, even back to school where you’ll quench your eternal thirst for learning!

Big ideas and goals can be achieved this year with the help of influential people who see your potential. Work on those credit card bills and avoid any schemes that others present to you. In fact, keep control of all your financial matters. There is a feeling of “being chosen” this year!
Aquarius: (Jan 20-Feb. 18) in 2006 you have real star quality. As you attract new relationships and interesting friendships that reflect your new found interests, you have little time or patience for anyone who wants to dominate your time and who is an ego maniac. Your friendships and relationships have that fated quality about them this year!
Pisces: (Feb. 18-Mar.20) 2006 a Lucky Year! You are definitely due for a change in luck. Jupiter shines down cosmically on your sign and bails you out of any sticky situations. Be careful with friendships and take care to sort out any bad vibes that develop. The friends you have and make now could be around for years!
